Vault QMS supports management of the Quality Management Review (QMR) process, which is an evaluation of the effectiveness and suitability of a quality system. It is a collaborative effort to determine whether the system needs adjustments to meet quality requirements. The QMR object captures the data that is being reviewed during the QMR meeting, meeting notes, meeting attendees, and post-meeting action items.
This article contains basic configuration information to outline an QMR process in your Vault.
Configuration Overview
Configure the following components to use QMR functionality:
- Populate the QMR Scope picklist with appropriate values.
- Configure object page layouts and custom actions and for the associated objects.
- Add the record creation action to the appropriate lifecycle states.
- Create Management Review Templates as needed for your processes.
Populating the QMR Scope Picklist
Add values to the QMR Scope picklist to reflect your processes. For example, Executive, Global, Regional, or Facility. Users can select this value in the QMR template or on the QMR record itself.
Setting Up the QMR Object
Add related object sections to the QMR object page layout for the QMR Item and QMR Task objects. This allows QMR process participants to manage these records during the course of the review.
Setting Up the Management Review Template Object for QMRs
Make the following changes to the Management Review Template object to support the QMR process:
- Add the Create Record From Template custom action to the object configuration.
- Add a Management Review Template Item related object section on the Management Review Template object page layout for the QMR object type.
Management Review Template Lifecycle
Add the Create Record From Template user action to the Management Review Template Lifecycle in an appropriate state so that users can create QMRs from established templates.
