We recommend configuring Station Manager for your organization using Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) software, such as MobileIron or VMware Workspace ONE.
Creating an EMM Profile
How you create your EMM profile to deploy and control Station Manager depends on the EMM vendor that you use. Some vendors, for example, MobileIron, include an interface where you can specify application properties. Other applications, such as Workspace ONE, require an XML configuration file detailing your properties. Such application property configuration methods use the AppConfig standard.
Controllable Application Properties
You must define values for the following properties when deploying Station Manager to your devices through your EMM vendor.
Note: Note that after adding AppConfig variables to existing installations of the app, you must ensure that app deployment has occurred successfully via EMM. Station Manager will not reflect the changes until the deployment has occurred.

This must be set to "Yes" when the application is provisioned from your EMM vendor. If you set this field to "Yes", then a Station User can be used to login with their Station Manager Enable permission set to "True", and with their Enable Direct Installation permission set to "False". This is the recommended configuration for production. If you do not set this field to "Yes", then a Station User will only be allowed to login if both Enable and Enable Direct Installation are set to "True". This is not recommended, as this allows a user who has the Station User credentials to log into Station Manager on a personal device. |

VaultStationManagerDeviceID |
A unique identifier for each device, typically set to the serial number. This value is stored on the Station Device record for this device, providing administrators with a way to match these records to their corresponding devices. Many EMM vendors have tokens to specify the serial number. If you don't specify a unique identifier, in many cases the value stored in the Station Device record will be a unique identifier assigned to the application that Admins cannot match to devices. The maximum supported length for this property value is 100 characters. |

This value controls the length of time that Station Manager will highlight recently-added or updated documents in the document list view. You can specify an integer value for the number of days before timeout. If you don't specify a value, the timer defaults to seven (7) days. |
Warning Mode
At a specified time of day or configured duration interval, the Station Manager app can optionally enter a Warning Mode, which will display warning messages to end-users if the device has not been synced since the specified time. Define application properties in your EMM configuration to enable and control this feature:

Along with your EMM profile, Station Manager includes two Vault Application permissions that can enable or restrict users’ access to the application: Station Manager: Enable and Station Manager: Enable Direct Installation.
